  72.       CJPOS was created by Christopher J. Ryba to provide an EXTREMELY
  73.  user friendly point-of-sale program for my friend Christopher
  74.  Kilcoyne; owner of Brookpark Certified Automotive Service in Parma,
  75.  Ohio. He wanted a program to print receipts and save estimates at
  76.  his shop. What evolved from simple beginnings in August of 1992 is
  77.  rather complete package for any small business who can dedicate a CGA
  78.  or VGA IBM compatible computer with DOS 3.3 or higher to point of
  79.  sale operation.
  80.       Default printer drivers include the EPSON character set and the HP
  81. command set. These printers have been fully tested. A printer driver
  82. creator is available to registered users. Print receipts and reports
  83. from any port - LPT1 thru LPT4; COM1 thru COM4. Additional default
  84. printers are being added to PRINTERS.DRV in future editions to assure
  85. compatiblity.

  93.    DOS INSTALL:
  94.    1.) Unzip all files into a directory such as C:\CJPOS.
  95.    2.) Type CJPOS to start. Employee #1 is the default employee.
  96.        Put in your company specific information using 'System Setup.

  98.    WINDOWS INSTALL:
  99.    1.) Unzip all files into a temporary directory such as C:\TEMP.
  100.    2.) Run the SETUP.EXE.  This setup program will install system to
  101.        a directory of your choice & create icons to start the system.

  104.                 **********  HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS  **********

  106.    *  The program needs an MINIMUM of 3 Meg hard disk space to run.
  107.    Naturally as more receipts are written, the program will grow
  108.    over 3 Meg in size ( I hope your business is selling something ! ).
  109.    At BCAS Automotive one full year required 4 Meg of HD space for his
  110.    Fiscal 1994.

  112.    *  640 K of RAM is required. 560 K free RAM when starting program is
  113.       recommended. The FILES= in your CONFIG.SYS should be at least 40.
  114.    *  DOS 3.30 or higher for the operating system.
  115.    *  80286 or later micropressor.
  116.    *  Will run in a DOS window in Windows (R) without any problems.

  118.    If you have received the automotive demo version a blank set of
  119.    databases can be obtained if you would like to start building your

  224. To install CJPOS follow these simple instructions.
  225.  
  226. WINDOWS INSTALLATION:
  227.     1. Uncompress the CJPOS5xx.ZIP into a temporary directory such
  228.        as C:\TEMP using PKUNZIP or WinZip or like program.
  229.     2. Run the SETUP.EXE from this temporary directory. The setup
  230.        program will create program icons for CJPOS when finished.
  231.        Click on the 'CJPOS System' icon to start.
  232.  
  233. DOS INSTALLATION:
  234.     1. Make a directory for CJPOS, for example type:
  235.        C:\>MD CJPOS
  236.     2. Then move the CJPOS5xx.ZIP file to this directory by:
  237.        COPY CJPOS5??.ZIP C:\CJPOS
  238.     3. Uncompress the .ZIP file using PKZIP or compatible utility.
  239.        For example from the C:\CJPOS>prompt:
  240.        PKUNZIP CJPOS5??
  241.     4. Finally the install will complete by simply starting the program
  242.        by typing in 'CJPOS' and enter. The system will install on this
  243.        initial startup.

  247. Vendors and VAR's who wish to be a dealer of the CJPOS system can
  248. do the following to the original package:
  249.      Modifiable files:
  250.      SAVER.TXT  - Change text to show vendor phone # & price.
  251.      README.TXT - Change references of Cuyahoga Computing to
  252.                   Vendor Name.

  254. Vendors/VAR's can add the DEALER.TXT file so that end users will
  255. contact them & not Cuyahoga Computing. However, EVERY REGISTRATION

  300.    All ASSOCIATION OF SHAREWARE PROFESSIONALS members' shareware
  301. products include support in the purchase price for a minimum of three
  302. months from the date of registration. This support can be by telephone,
  303. mail or e-mail.  At least 30 minutes free support, without additional
  304. cost, is provided during the first three months. If additional support is
  305. required, a fee may be charged at the option of Cuyahoga Computing Co.
  306. after this initial 3 month period has elapsed. The level of support
  307. involves answering questions and fixing serious bugs during the
  308. minimum three month period.  Any incompatibilities with other
